Skimmed the video, IMO just like any other tool depends on how you use it. If you're heavily relying on it entirely, your end product is gonna be shit. But if you're using it to augment your own thinking and brainstorm ideas, its probably be more useful in that way. Or if you need a quick list of analogies or other ways of phrasing something I could see AI being useful for that.
I'm also a shitty writer though, so it also helps me form my tone. If I'm being too informal, I've had it help me rewrite emails, or if I'm going for a specific tone, I've had it guide me in a direction that I can take that helps me reshape some of my sentences.
