Permanent living ground cover is one of the key guidelines of a #ForestGarden, so I'm really into chunky perennials like sedums. I've planted a couple of different strawberries, Beach Strawberry (Fragaria chiloensis) has done really well here as a ground cover, Green Strawberry (Fragaria viridis) pretty good too.
