GUIDE ME WITH YOUR EYES

PSALM 32:8 (NKJV-New King James Version)

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;

I will guide you with My eye."

This Bible study was shared with me by a friend a few days ago, I would like to share it here.

Psalm 32 is a well-known Psalm of David. Its core tells us the benefits of confessing our sins, and the good things it brings to our body and soul.

On this study, we’ll focus on the verse 8.

It’s interesting the choice of words, specially at the second part of the verse, where God says: “I will guide you with My eye.”. When our kids ask for permission to go explore some new place or try something new to them, they keep looking back at us. They hope they can read our faces and get assurance they are in the right place. If we see they are going somewhere they shouldn’t, we roll our eyes to guide them back to the right path. Our kids know, just by looking at our eyes, where they should go.

This behavior is very intuitive, we do without even thinking about! The great thing about it, is that for it to work, our kids must keep looking at us at all time! So is how the Lord says he will guide us! As children of God, we must keep our eyes on Him!
