My wife and I are doing some decluttering. Getting rid of kids stuff they’ve outgrown, other things we don’t use, etc. Part of me wants to try and sell some of it and stack some extra sats, but then I think about how horrible it is trying to sell things online, haggling, back and forth messaging, no-shows and people changing their mind after I’ve already turned down other potential buyers… I always just end up donating or throwing things away rather than bother with the hassle. Anyone else? 😅

Ask for 5 bucks deposit when they book an item (non-returnable). 10% discount on purchase if the pay with #Bitcoin ?

I became a devout minimalist long ago, though children obviously challenge the stance. Even still, I’ve long found this quote to be a wonderful distillation of how best to manage stuff.

“Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.” —William Morris

You can find on Facebook groups called Buy Nothing where you can post what you are getting rid of and people will just come and take it :)

I try to avoid Facebook groups and market at all cost but good to know 🤣

Wait... in 2023 people still use FBIbook?

Boomers do

I am a boomer (50+), but never used FBIbook.

🤣

There’s also this app called NextDoor I think that lets you just give things away to people in your area.
