My wife's bank tried to stop me paying off her mortgage when we got married. I wanted her to keep her house to rent out to earn her money. The bank wanted to convert the mortgage to buy to let.
It was a battle, I won, but it wasn't easy.
I had a cool meeting where they were trying to sell me credit to clear my overdraft.
I explained I’m skint and they’ll rip the shit out of me… she said ‘oh no our rates are great, we definitely won’t fuck you over(paraphrasing here)’.
She typed in the computer and came back with 19% apr 😂. I bid her good day.

Mind you, if Bitcoin doesn't pump by Christmas, I'm becoming "Mike the Bastard" and I'll be doing the same to normies come the revolution 😂
