14 Jul 24 - ⚡️ Bitcoin and crypto mining were largely responsible for $723M in electricity theft in Malaysia from 2018-2023, per MalayMail. Despite crackdowns, mining isn't illegal in Malaysia. Over 2,000 pieces of equipment worth $467K were seized and destroyed in October 2022. The ministry is prioritizing efforts to combat theft and promote green energy.
