goddammit

i asked the restaurant guy around the corner for just plain regular fucking espetada madeirense style and he still gives me the same stuff again that he'd marinated all day in some toxic soup of idk what...

last time i had this goat spit roast also i got bronchoconstriction, and again it's woken me up at 3am in the morning, my breathing is labored and i can't sleep, my gut is all out of order

i'm gonna be telling him "i asked for just the simple chunsk of leg for this because i have allergies and i feel like shit now two times from this i'm not coming back for it, allergies are serious"

grrr

only thing i have to remedy it on hand is coffee, which ruins my sleep even more, ultimately

normies just have no understanding of what a quality of life destruction is allergic reactions and it makes me sad

oh well

so i'm gonna be up early today to take this remedy and might as well do something... i've got some work to do but when i'm feeling cranky like this i want to do my own things that i love, so, time to finish adding and testing the garbage collection from #realy

yeah, i'm really pissed that this place the only spit in it is downstairs in the kitchen that nobody uses because i'd use it every day

almost every dwelling not in an apartment block in madeira has one. just not this fancy pants fucking modernist shit. also no bathtub or bidet, which even apartments usually have.

i really should move.

yeah, that's how it works here too

anyhow, i'm just gonna be checking up on the state of offerings... there's one nice place, but no bathtub, in a "little house" near the edge of a cliff in Boa Ventura that looks nice, i've been out to Ponta Delgada and it looks really pretty out there... it's up quite high compared to Ponta Delgada and i know there is a supermarket nearby so that covers me for most of the things... i'll just have to live with no bathtub if i decide to go with that so i'll just hold on for a bit...

gotta pay the rent shortly and i'm sure that's gonna remind me how much i would like to actually pay less rent lol, and this place is a bit cheaper, and it's ready now, it would just require me to pay someone with a truck to carry my stuff over there, and i know how to get to this location

anyway, things move fast, maybe in a week i find an even better place... oh yeah there was one in Calheta too, which is really nice out on the western side of the island... the prices have gone up but honestly i can stand to get further away from large numbers of people than here

yeah i'm gonna poke at this one... it's really nice, right on the margin of the house areas, down hill a bit from the main road, outside you can see a wide view of the ocean... if they bite i'll go have a look at it soon and maybe commit to start there in december.

i'll be super excited if i don't hear any dogs around nearby. that will be an upgrade.

well, see, that's the thing, i don't know what is even in this shit

it's probably something in the vegetable oil he slathers all over the salad and probably a lot in the marinade as well... there was also a lot of chilli in there but i usually don't have this problem with chilli unless i've been eating a lot of gluten containing stuff and that causes a lot of minor allergies to start up to muddy the waters

I asked him for a specific cut of a fresh carcass hanging in the fridge in front of me, pointed, repeatedly said "just meat, salt and garlic like espetada madeirense"

He's just an idiot.

Not gonna waste my money on his bullshit again... It's actually prompted me, since I need to organize my next period of living, to confirm on not extending and going elsewhere.

Between him and the yapping dogs and the long trip to the supermarket it's time.
