The discussion around digital identity is going to pick up rapidly this cycle and I think it’s imperative to own the frame and the frame should focus on the individual controlling the creation of their “digital identity”.

These identity credentials should not be issued by some government or blockchain they should be created by each individual user. The protocols that enable this in the most individual centric way today are Nostr and Web5.

I have 30 IDs on nostr. All active daily. All note about different topics. I've been accepted into many circles I don't actually belong in.

Nobody knows who's who for real here, unless you've been to an event and met others in person.

"Well, that ID is trashed and not being accepted as I want it, start another."

Nostr Digital IDs are no good and cuts right through any nostr WoT, unless you've met someone at an event.

This is why the centralized One Person One Digital ID will never work. Digital Identification is only good for grouping bits of information as coming from a single source, but there can be infinite digital identities. The standard for those identities is Nostr is my point.
