I’m conflicted because apple does also tend to set clear rules and seems to be the antidote to antitrust takeovers like WhatsApp (how do you at a granular level prevent scraping and importing of contacts?)

The point is they share data with Facebook including scraping contacts
There isn’t a meaningful way to opt out, whereas apple keeps granular kinds of permissions
