I guess you are right they did it in Canada even without the social credit score. But how can we stop that? Actually it is against human’s right and most state have ratified it but it seems rights law and constitution are by passed like nuts those days.
They take over Twitter, we build Nostr.
They introduce CBDCs, we build on Lightning.
They introduce politics in favor of mega corporations, we support small farmers.
Only thing is to build and co-operate. Never give in to any of this.
Well I still do not see how lightning will help, could you explain. I agree with you on the rest . I would love to be energy indépendant too . Growing your food or buying local is great. But in big city …., good luck if you want to stay free.
I still wonder about Bitcoin….
The more people start to accept/use lightning now, the less issues people will have once cash is gone and cbdcs will be their only option. What will people do? Either accept every transaction they do is being tracked, and potentially programmed (up to the point that a central party can deny it), or they barter like in the old ages, or they use an alternative digital hard money that is controlled by no one.
True that if we go in a cash less society and they go toward a digital currency we are fucked because that will become totalitarianism( good word for scrabble )
But lightning is good if accepted by others. Would the farmer accept it. What can he buy with it.
What about borrowing ? You can’t with that. And what’s worry me in the very high volatility of the Bitcoin.
We do not know who and how many they have. Imagine if black rock own like 2 millions worth of Bitcoin how much can they generate volatility on it? No one can control that. My family has to escape from a country they only took they jewellery with them and managed to survive as jewellery and gold have everywhere a recognised value. I’m trying to understand how a world with lightning would work outside of the top supporters world?
