The Ukrainian government receives billions of dollars in aid from Western countries but pays its soldiers fighting against the russian invasion only $500 per month. You can’t make this shit up!

Most of the aid comes in form of military equipment, shells, etc. It’s not that they wire money to them.

Agree it’s not much. But also they are paying them in hryvnias, not dollars, right? So, in theory could print them as much as they want. But we also know downsides with that approach.

Even in 20k hryvnia in Ukraine is nothing! It’s one month rent price for apartment in a big city.
