Are you using the nostr.wine with custom filters? I logged into your npub and immediately got hit with over 1000 spam messages from that relay.
Amethyst is filtering those out, but that could be what's happening

Either way, i will see if I can reduce the burn in the CPU in the next versions
I use 11 or 12 paid relays and rarely am I able to comfortably use the app. If I add a free relay at all it's completely pointless for me to to open the app. I do wish it was useable for me as I prefer it other than the performance issues. Could not loading everything into memory solve this? Using a local database to serve data and deamon for relay communication similar to how Nostros handles things?
Yes I paid for nostrwine.
And I have the filter set up per their instructions.
1. Should I take the normal free nostrwine off of my relay list?
2. The filter nostrwine has:
?broadcast=true.....After my npub. Should that be deleted or changed to false?
I am not sure. But you can watch for the number of spam messages in the relay section (stars) It would be nice if they filtered those out.

Hey - are these the public chat messages or something kind 1s? Where are you seeing them?
