Yeah I remember more of a conversation about this ages ago. I think around the nostrasia 'normies' talk by Rabble.

There is a bit of an idea that everyone else is a 'sheeple' or a normie lol. It's everywhere really in the world. People considering other people not into their hobbies as 'normies'. In reality a lot of people look at nostr and see normies. But yeah I agree, it's silly feeling superior to the 'normie' just cos you found nostr or you buy bitcoin and know the bitcoin slogans lol.

You get this in all sorts of things. Oh you don't smoke weed... You're a normie

Oh you don't know what dungeon synth is... You must be a normie. Etc etc.

Just the way it goes I suppose.
