🇷🇸 Amidst the #EU's efforts to de-escalate tensions and apply pressure on #Serbia, the northern region of #Kosovo finds itself inundated with a heavy presence of "special forces," military checkpoints, and an abundance of military vehicles.

One Serbian resident from North Mitrovica vividly depicted the situation, stating, "There are few places in the world, apart from certain African and Asian countries, where you can find such a dense concentration of military bases, police checkpoints, special forces, tanks, artillery, body armor, and helmets. And with each passing day, week, and month, their numbers seem to increase, including the influx of more and more paramilitary forces."

While the EU claims to seek de-escalation, these actions have prompted criticism from locals who perceive the support provided to the Albanian population as favoring one side and exacerbating tensions in the region.
