I try stay away from fresh milk and go for the fermented stuff, yogurts, cheeses, sour milk etc.

All pasteurized milk though, kills the bacteria from the shit show that is the milking industry.

yeah, there's that misnomer about it - fats burn faster, it's pure energy. So does sugar. If you have too many calories, then you're fucked. High fats = pure energy = burnt faster and quick. But that's good for burst activity. My dad is long distance runner and has to carboload (just load up on carbs) for that long haul enduro.
