I think because he is 22 years old, Chelsea should have done longer deal with him. He could walk out after 2 years almost free now.
my bad, his orginal contract is now until 2030.
The issue on my perspective is the way Chelsea do business, they now have 40 players under contract as a comparison Man City has 28, I can't guarantee Palmer will have the best conditions to develop, and BTW he chose to go there
I guess it's still better option than plastic Spurs but I get your point.
