One thing I couldn't get over when I visited was the firearms I own, if I moved to NYC, brought them with me, and got caught with them would land me in prison for 10 years per firearm. Here in Utah they are 100% legal.

Yeah it’s ridiculous.

Laws are different upstate so you have to avoid the city if you’re traveling from upstate to Long Island or Jersey. They don’t give a shit.

Careful bringing guns into New Jersey, if you live here you're not even allowed to have your gun locked in the trunk of your car unless you're going from a gun store to your home, or on the way to the range. You'll get into trouble otherwise.

Laws like that makes you a slave to your government and perfectly represents what those state politicians think of the citizens they are supposed to represent and be the voice for. No thank you!

Yes, there are reasons why having a lot of guns might make more sense in a state with an entire population less than half of the five boroughs. If that’s the life people want they should absolutely purse it wherever it’s easiest to do that. This is a large country full of many possibilities.

What's interesting is when I was in NYC I felt naked not being able to conceal carry. I felt I needed it more in NYC than anywhere else I have lived or visited in the United States. Some sketchy people in that city, especially on the subways at night. I could not imagine being a small female in NYC with limited resources for self protection because of insane politics.

Again, that’s a preference. I’ve never seen a gun discharged in the entire time I’ve lived here, except as a demonstration. It will be interesting to see what happens now that the state laws have been challenged by the Supreme Court.

Yeah, it’s rare to see a gun go off, that’s mainly in Brownsville and seriously rough areas. Though It’s not rare to see someone randomly punched in the face now. DeBlasio and Jeffrries really ruined the city.

The SCOTUS isn't challenging NY state gun laws, they ruled them illegal and unconstitutional. NY state isn't complying with the Bruen ruling. Those state officials should all be in jail, imo.
