I'm going to go for the newer, non-actuated, Standard model. I was looking at the Mini as DC-native, but a hacked standard will be better performance and without the unnecessary router.

I just plug them on a battery pack, they suck a lot, 30-60w. If your car doesn't have a second battery you could be SOL. Also if you don't real off-road I doubt any mount will survive the vibration. Just toss it above the cab to use it toss it back in the floor when you move.

I need comms on the move so gonna go fixed mount.

Low speed bumps or higher speed gravel bumps?

Gonna mount it flat to the roof like in the vid.

😬🫡

Also, they are nearly unusable while moving. Get the pro marine flat panel if you want moving internet. Works great, and super fast. Big and heavy though
