I'm not going to article battle with you because anyone can find an article that says whatever they want it to say, however if you will actually go back and read stuff from the 1990's and even early 2000's you will see Russia has been against NATO being on their border for a while, and only agreed to a few Baltic states joining after reaching agreements with NATO, Russia obviously got the short end of the stick on the deal however.

Though I want to make it clear, I'm not saying Russia isn't doing anything wrong or that they are great or anything. I'm saying it makes sense for Russia to not want NATO on its border that is all. I think the current situation in Russia and Ukraine is their own business and they need to find a way to deal with it themselves. NATO needs to stop fanning the flames of wars.
