UDP is fast and lightweight despite requiring potential retries. Might be of benefit for certain types of devices. Nostr seems pretty heavy when factoring in all the nip-5 / key lookups and such.

I can imagine a few scenarios: streaming, great for short requests (like ones from client to relays where speed is more important, like how DNS works), gaming over nostr, iot (where processing power is limited), etc.
