such things existed but no, they outlawed it and i was burning plastic not eating paint... with a magnifying glass, usually - i also liked to fry ants and cigarette butts

i already have spent a lot of time finding non-wireless routers in the last few years, tyvm

but, 10 base T is like, so 2000

most motherboards have had 100mbit rj45 STP since about 2005

in future just say ethernet, and then you are covered from now until eternity, because that standard was created in the 60s and hasn't changed much since, like all good things, once you get them right

base-T means the connection is on a bus, with a coaxial shielded wire

most ethernet cables are "UTP" or unshielded twisted pair, and these are not used in situations where the cable passes a high EMF source or if leaking signal might allow a tap to be non-invasively applied - and for this anyway the reason why almost everything is encrypted now as this closes up this vulnerability, but it does still give traffic volume information even if none of it can be decoded, and the headers have naked IP addresses, but ultimately security is busted if physical is gone (one of the first rules of signals intelligence, never send a message if its interception informs the enemy in any way or might be a weakly protected message)

It was a meme bro. I had limited space in order to get the point across. We used to build giant forts made of downed trees in the forest near NASA and would hide in the woods while the fuzz tore them down while snickering quietly to each other.
