That said…I really like your table. In fact I sketched one similar to this about 30 years ago. My idea was to use a light-colored maple wood for the white pieces, and black walnut for the dark pieces. I don’t remember what I had in mind for the rest of it. I’m not a carpenter or furniture-maker, and I’ll am told I have a horrible sense of fashion & picking colors. So, I make no promises as to whether the colors go together… But I do like what I saw!
