Back when I was a kid, there was lots of black media. And a lot of it was really good. Like, you got the Wayans brothers, fresh prince of bel-air, there was that MC Hammer cartoon, there's a whole bunch of black comedians who got through movies.

It really feels like a giant step back for me the idea that the only way you can have a black person in a movie in 2023 is to start with a white guy and Justin Trudeau them.
