I tried to find out what ordinals are.
The only thing I understood was that they are compared to NFTs, although that is not quite correct.
That's all I need to know to stay away from them.

Yes tbey are.. and the they are using the tech in the wrong way like jpegs.. the real use case will be to inscript ownership of land or inscript my identity on the time-chain to secure my identity or my birth certificate not a picture of doodles lol
I do not do nfts with my art either, not allow use of any derivstive of my art (not drawings or remixes). If I ever did it wiuld be under my termd but not convinced now, as with AI lots lf misuse.
