Once upon a time, I wanted to sell a gold jewelry accessory to get some money. I went to the gold market and approached a random seller. She looked at the accessory and priced it at $500. "Okay," I said, "I'll ask around and come back if I need to." I approached the next seller, who looked at it and priced it at $450. The next one priced it at $400, and the following one at $380. The price eventually went down to $350. "Okay," I thought, "now I know who pays the most, I'll sell it to the first lady."
I went back to her, and she told me, "I'll give you $350."
"But you said you would give me $500," I objected.
"I was willing to give you $500 when you first arrived at the market. Now that I know no one else will pay more than $350, I won't offer more. And in the future, here's some advice: when you approach a professional, never doubt their skills."
This is exactly what we do in our day-to-day lives: we doubt everything. We hire a professional and then intervene in the process with our unprofessional opinions and visions.
Don't be an amateur. Choose the professional you trust and let them do their work.
