Yes. And I’ve heard that PR term for user-hostile behavior from several other places. I don’t develop for Nostr specifically, but I do develop (I even get paid for it from time to time) so I’m not buying that basic functionality required for users to maintain control over their data or experience is an “oversight” or a technological “hurdle” to be overcome. Nostr has a “not your keys not your corn” culture. As a developer in this ecosystem, there is no excuse for ZBD to not know that.

Your business simply has different priorities than I do. That is fine. Frankly it has different priorities than I read most of Nostr having. That is also fine.

“We build fast” or “this is an alpha” is not a valid excuse. It’s a sign of irresponsibility at best, and a values misalignment at worst.

In either case, it loses the good will of the people who care about said things.
