One of the stops during the BTC isla event was at a Montessori school here in Isla Mujeres.

They were hosting a small Christmas bazaar to support the kids on the island raising funds for gifts, education programs, and basic school supplies. Yes, they were accepting bitcoin.

It was a moment of community taking care of community, and bringing bitcoiners into that space felt magical. Not as outsiders, but as islanders and people who genuinely care about the future they’re helping build.

For context: This is the first school on the island with a bitcoin reserve. They accept bitcoin for tuition. And we’re talking about incorporating bitcoin into the curriculum because we all know it’s the way to protect their work, their time, and their values.

BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD.

Magic in action 🧡 Bitcoin building a better world, one island at a time 🌎🚀 #HODL #Bitcoin

This is how you take care of a community, not the government, not social programs, independent people coming together for their community. Great work Isa
