Makes it very rich and creamy. Also eliminates almost entirely any heart burn/acid reflux from drinking an entire pot of coffee.

The mug I use is about 16 ounces.

A stick of butter is 900 calories.

The half and half adds more.

Yes it still tastes like coffee. If anything I'd say it really enhances the coffee taste.

ok i'm gonna up my game. i like h&h but too much turns it too light / loses strength. i'll try a big ol hunk of kerrygold

Keep the butter in the fridge so it's hard and you can cut off a bunch of thin slices. Stir vigorously with a fork while you're pouring the hot coffee over it and it will dissolve very well. Otherwise you end up with a big greasy blob floating on the top of your coffee.
