The way of focusing is to feel your felt sense but don’t go into it. Like you clear a space in your mind, and you try to feel what’s been bugging you, you can feel that, but you are not part of it, you just observe it from outside. And the you try to resonate or ask about that feeling and try to find a handle or so called solution to it.
And in The way of effortless mindfulness, the way to keep calm and chill in every situation of your life is to find the awake awareness in your body. Through a lot of Glimpse practice in the book, I feel I can have a sense about this awareness. It’s different from attention. It’s like you are more attached with the environment but in a effortless way. I need to admit I’ve tried meditation for several time before but I always find it struggled to keep focusing like that deliberate attention. I didn’t feel that relax or calm after that and can’t keep it for a long time. But when I try to awake awareness and then focusing on what I need to do, I feel quite easy.
I may come back to this book later. Need to reread.
Focusing.
The way of effortless mindfulness.
