You can also look in the global or universe feed, depending on your client app. You can also go to some clients and look at trending people or suggestions of people to follow. What client app or website are you using?

I am using amethyst. It doesn't recommend anything to me to follow . And when I signed up there is just advertising to sell websites

Amethyst doesn't have follow recommendations but it does have a global feed. And you can checkout the people I'm following. All great people. As for selling websites, this is our current joke or shitpost meme. Don't worry about it. We'll find another one in a day or two.

I’m super intrigued by nostr but it doesn’t seem very user friendly so far.
