In this movie , which is kind of " meh", the bad guys steal an AI that "can do anything" , and plan to reset the financial system with it, but before that , they buy a lot of gold .

Not one mention of Bitcoin of course, but that me think that in a situation like that it would be a great choice , ours nodes make sure that if all is reseted , a supercomputer can't delete all nodes and can't do shit actually because it wouldn't have the hashhate, Bitcoin is beautiful...

If bitcoin was mentioned they would have had to change the entire story line.

I like to think the producers/writers and developers all know about bitcoin and know it's the solution. They left it out to make good a film.

Pretty boring film if at the end the ai takes down the bitcoin network only for it to fork to continue like nothing happened.

Exactly, boring movie , interesting concept , I wonder when the Bitcoin ethos will be entrenched on popular culture that movies will star to address it ... And not the bullshit blackmarket , drug transaction shit we see today , but a real use case..

I don't know but I understand the frustration 💯,

I think education is important but kids don't want to learn they want to watch Jason Statham kick the shit out of some guy and make some funny or cool sounding comments in-between.

We need to trick the masses with a A-list film that focuses on real issues. Maybe Nostr community could crowd fund one or something ? I dunno just brain storming. But there's definitely something that needs to be fixed
