Oh. 😂

I gave up on the NIP wars when I realized I’d never be able to keep up with writing anything useful.

Neither can they. 😅 Spaghetti specs, at this point.

I’m currently writing a spec and it’s more of a pain in the ass than any 5 NIPs combined

I’m glad y’all said it, because my first reaction was to say “Yet.”

Need like 5 NIPs to implement anything at all, at this point, and they all overlap and intertwine and I'm like TL;DR.

And it has justifications instead of “we like complicated shit”

We may have to admit that we don't have the right tech stack for some tasks and other protocols do some things better.

Or we need to rearrange/expand the protocol in a larger "throw", or reconsider the underlying concept completely.

We're too early to give in to technical debt. We're still beta-testing; that means we can go back to the drawing board and start from first principles, again.

The number of things being shoe-horned…

If too many things are hard, then it’s probably architected wrongly.

I have thoughts, but I shouldn’t probably share them. I think you’re giving vent to things I saw beneath the surface, but I never waded in like y’all did.

We don't have much choice, seeing as how we need to eventually implement that stuff.
