I love supporting free thinking and such on here but we gotta be able to agree that skin cancer is VERY real and extremely preventable if we used innovations such as sun screen effectively
I’ll definitely say that mineral sunscreen is more sustainable than “chemical” sunscreen and the only thing to use near water due to the effects chemical sunscreen has on coral and other marine life
But, respectfully and with love, to make the argument that the “battle with the sun does not exist” is pretty reckless—it certainly does and while we need sunlight in moderation UV radiation literally scrambles our DNA and kills us quite badly if we don’t catch it in time
And to reiterate—this is 100% preventable with a little care and effort on our parts
And it’s just so avoidable in our modern world that to shrug off protecting our largest organ from almost certain destruction is absurdly silly to even consider in 2025 🫶🏼
