Christian: “Did you ever meet a man named Temporary?

Hopeful: “Know him! Yes. He lived in the city Graceless, about two miles off from a town called Honesty. If I remember, he lived with a man called Turnback. He lived not far from me.”

Christian: “He came to me once, in tears, and told me that he was resolved to go on a pilgrimage, as we go on now. But before too long, he avoided me and became as a stranger.”

Hopeful: “Tears are not always a sign of repentance as there will be many tears in Hell. There are many who cry ‘Lord, Lord!’ but do not follow through with what Jesus says.”
