So I had a clear headed realisation today that we can choose not to become our parents, becoming them or like them is not inevitable, we get to make different choices. That made me incredibly happy and hopeful.

Probably super obvious to many but not something I had considered until now.

Many don't realize that, but, it is a lot of work learning to not open your mouth and have "your mother come out."

You are so right!!!!!!!! But Iā€™m not her or my father. And I am choosing to be me and not them. Tough one but worth the effort.
