hot topic on twit.

Yeah, it was a very blatant pump and dump

I believe more people will have to scammed in crypto to realize they only need Bitcoin

And perhaps some XMR to be on the safe side

Necessary evil in my opinion

Usually this is the way to become Bitcoin only

Yet these people maintain 'influence'.

It's an absolute shambles what these grifters get away with.

Regulations will fix it, but I bet everything will tank when they come.

Regulations usually just kill markets imo.

I'm not convinced on that front. I think gov should exist in some capacity but they should be regulating corporations to protect consumers rather than working hand in hand with them against our interests.

An unregulated market is what crypto is, and it has stolen so much from people because they are allowed to get away with it with no repurcussions. The president of the USA launch a fucking scam coin days before inauguration. Had anyone but trump done this people would be up in arms, as they should be.

Regulations will kill most of this market, taking down the majority of the scams, but it will legitimise the space for countries and institutions to get involved with the projects that remain afterwards.

I listened to his interview in nostr:nprofile1qqsxpfwtq34xpnqy9djsg7jjayq3rrst95r4xflje0nqlwjjwhfhrycpzpmhxue69uhkumewwd68ytnrwghszxthwden5te0wfjkccte9eekummjwsh8xmmrd9skctcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhse6ztph, some time ago. Meh. This was expected. For me it's clear that he considers #bitcoin as a speculative asset, at best as an investment. He is not on it for #freedom at first, as a real maxi should.

Freedom tech should be the first priority for any maxi, totally agree. Apparently Fred has a history of grifting on his followers.

Reminds me of UET2…
