It is. We just see bad examples and assume its the whole thing. They see the same about America. Their news talks about our overbearing and over criminalizing and punishing government and shows footage of the homeless camps in every city.

Who's more correct? They are. They can bring receipts.

That doesn't change that they are definitely less free in objective ways. One example is the great firewall.
