SimpleX got good enough I convinced my wife to use it since 1 week ago. It really ressonated the part of "just because you join a group, does not mean the rest of members can stalk, spam and harass you forever".

Do the backup of your current account (export database) create a new account on the new device than go to settings and import the database. The account will be deleted and you'll have the old one loaded
