Have I got ordinals and inscriptions right fam?

Ordinals are an indexing system for every sat in a bitcoin. There are 100,000,000 sats per bitcoin. Ordinals make each sat unique.

Inscriptions are the data (think NFT) stored on the Bitcoin blockchain. Each inscription is linked to a specific ordinal.

I think the "holy grail" of Ordinals is to put a unique inscription on a "rare" Sat, like the first sat of a new Block reward.
