In highschool I remember a kid I was kinda friends with (he was black and yes this information is relevant to the story) told me that if he ever burned his chicken he would call the cops and I asked him why call the cops and he said because he's scared of things that are darker than him and also because if the cops beat the burnt chicken maybe they won't beat him. I will never forget that because it was the most out of nowhere thing, like before this we were sitting in silence.
