I can’t remember which post originally sparked this bet:

March 1, 2024: "#Bitcoin will surpass gold, and you will still be early."

January 9, 2024: "#Bitcoin is better than gold, but it has yet to surpass the market cap of gold, this would just be the beginning. After #BTC surpasses gold we will see HOW MUCH better it is than gold. My prediction is A LOT."

June 24, 2023: "#Bitcoin overtaking gold’s market cap seems just around the corner, imagine the narrative shift when this happens!

April 21, 2024: "I don’t think #Bitcoin needs more utility to flip gold, once #BTC flips gold it’ll be apparent..."

December 5, 2022: "#Bitcoin will likely surpass the market cap of gold in the next 30 years and that’s only $250,000."

I think it’s possible that it could happen, but I’ve never been certain or tried to make it seem certain. I hoped this bet would garnish more attention, but I’m still interested to see how it plays out!

We'd be looking at a price of $1.275M USD per bitcoin to overtake gold's market cap.

It'll get there, I'm just not sure if it gets there this epoch.

The only scenario where I see you winning this bet is if the USG dumps gold to buy bitcoin. There's a non zero chance that it will.
