Ahh, it is in the brainwasher press only. Just to be precise Putin responded only that Ukaine wanted to enter to NATO. And Putin said Russia will respont seriously, because from Moskva (Moscow) in in missile range from Kiev. And he wanted a "demliltarized zone" around Russia. Biden suggested to Zelensky to enter to the NATO.

Ahh, so you don’t want each nation to have free will to decide its own path. Rather, nations may invade each other at will. NATO is now larger and stronger than ever, and Russia more isolated, thanks to Putin.

At first: I1m not a Putin fan. At second: do you really think that Ukraine will be free and will decide its own path? Before they announced that they want to enter to the NATO, nobody restricted them in their freedom (ok, except the Krim peninsula occupation by Russia, 10 years ago). BTW: Ukraine is one of the most corrupt country, anybody is the president
