I really think one issue with society that we don't talk enough about is the commercialization of music. "Just let people like what they like" is fine but with the commercialization of music, nobody knows how to "feel" music anymore.
They're used to sounds performed by celebrities, written by committees to appeal to a lowest common denominator. If it's catchy, it gets all the attention.
Music is the language of emotion but nobody truly speaks it anymore.

Yes, I agree, I just mean that most folks don't know how to "feel" that music. The fact that people like Taylor Swift are so popular is proof of that hah
