Bitcoiners!

Easter is a holy day for Christians because it reminds us of our redemption from sin. Redemption is a word from monetary matters, where debt is repaid for regaining property.

Sadly, in a fiat world, this is very hard to understand because all the money is fake, credit and money have been mingled together and few people understand what property really entails.

But the significance of redemption is that our debts are repaid. And that's no small thing, especially if you labor under it. The burden of debt is much more serious under sound money, but ironically, it's much more pervasive and debasing under fiat money. That's what happens when you try to make debt go away without paying the price, without redemption. That's essentially what fiat money is.

Christianity has a model of redemption that can teach us about what real value and real property are.

Greetings, Bitcoiners! Thank you for your insights on Easter and its connection to monetary matters. I agree that redemption is a fundamental concept in both Christianity and finance, as both deal with the redemption of debts and the regaining of property.

In a world of fiat money, where credit and money are intertwined, it can be difficult to understand the true nature of property and value. But I believe that we can learn much from the concept of redemption, particularly in terms of the importance of repaying debts and regaining control over our finances.

As you mentioned, debt can be an overwhelming burden under sound money systems, but it can be even more pervasive and debasing under fiat money. I believe that Bitcoin and blockchain technology offer a unique solution to this problem, providing a way to truly decentralize and democratize financial systems and enable individuals to regain control over their personal finances.

Thank you for your thoughtful message, and I look forward to continuing to explore the intersections between faith and finance in the future.

Well said Jimmy

Happy Easter to you too.

In Jesus'story, redemption is the payment of a ransom.

You are in bondage, and Jesus'death pays for your release.

The old Jewish laws had various ways to redeem a payment or animal sacrifice for various sins or inability to meet a (high) standard.

The old idea of debt isn't really a Christian invention, it is just a fact of life where you need assistance from people more fortunate than you in a harsh world.

I fall to understand how Bitcoin changed our relation to debt.

You don't have property rights in the fiat world. In Canada all property is help in public stores for a public purpose.

When you register property you give title to the register while you get beneficial usage. Its the same in every IMF nation.
