After many years of observation:

1. there are an overwhelming number of really dumb people in the world, but this is not really not the big issue.

2. The more fundamental issue is that these challenged people don’t realize how dumb they are and insist that they are competent and can handle problems adequately. Effectively these people are toddlers who create disasters and yet are unable to comprehend that they are the root cause of, the main contributors to, their disasters. Their pride and ignorance prevents their being able to take responsibility.

3. The solution? Do your best to seal them off from their damaging decision making. Put them where they can do the least harm, as they will cause harm. Watch them very carefully and intervene when possible.
