Make sure you know the law in regards to renters rights. Make sure the raise in rent is legal, for instance where I live you can only raise rent 3% per year max. I have no idea where you live or the laws but make sure you know them and know them well, what the landlord is trying to do could be illegal. You also might be entitled to be given more than a months notice. It’s actually harder than most ppl might think to evict a tenant legally, again depending on where you live. Good luck don’t give up.
