There needs to be a button on all clients that you can click on to take you back to the top of the feed when you want to go there. It should be conveniently located on the bottom right side of the feed page.

Agree. In a lot of apps tapping the top takes you to the... top. I have to scroll 10 sec to get there
On Amethyst tab the home icon (bottom left) and it will take you to the top of the feed.
