How is that working out in regards of life being more valuable than costs?

well, the price we've placed on human life is the problem itself, isn't it? costs are arbitrary assumptions of value. if weapons manufacturing, for example, ceases to be of value, this might be a more obvious point---the war machine borders on genocidal gamification if it isn't already that.
