I have done the same thing with my #retrocomputing products. The law requires me to have an address in the EU for complaints, legal action, etc which is just not cost effective for a niche hobbyist market.
I had already stopped shipping to some EU countries due to their silly packaging rules that requires me to register with them and PREPAY for packaging material recycling. It's ridiculous.
