The silver lining to Phoenix fees being objectively BANANAS is that more people will look into running their own node.

Completely agree, the fact that its possible also caps fees for such services. 🤙
I found Phoenix really convenient for zapping, which is why I kept it funded, but SHIT imma just put up with the extra taps with nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5
Or take the easy and shity road and go custodial :-/
Fees to go from on chain to lightning or fees to splice more liquidity into the channel? I just upgraded and haven't needed to add more liquidity to the new single large channel yet. Is it more than the 3k they used to charge for a new channel?
I am literally talking about sending 1.2ish million sats from my own confirmed Phoenix lightning channel to my own freaking node. It's bananas. Literally over 5k sats.
Oh, the routing fees. I haven't really messed with lightening transactions that large. That fee is less than half a percent but I'm not sure what should be expected. What has been your experience sending over 1 million sats with other wallets?
I have a pretty well-connected node with a not-insignificant liquidity profile, and I can move 1M sats for less than 100 sats usually
